Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give clients who are uninsured or not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for services. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute it.
Keep a copy of your estimate. For more information, visit cms.gov/nosurprises. Full details are on the Client Disclosures page.
